Interstitial Cystistis / Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS) - Pathophysiology

Interstitial Cystitis / Bladder Pain Syndrome is a specific type of chronic pelvic pain, whereby there is pain or discomfort in lower abdomen and/or urogenital area, of more than 3 months duration, which is associated with lower urinary tract irritative symptoms, and in the absence of other discernible pathology.

This video was recorded in 2023 in collaboration with Global Interstitial Cystitis Bladder Pain Society to provide insights into the pathophysiology of this bladder pain syndrome.
