I was in my teens in the early 90s, and I loved ❤️ watching Doogie Howser MD, the American sitcom.
Every night, Doogie would sit at his desk and sum up his day in one or two sentences. Many years later, I came across an article on how the Doogie Howser series was supposed to end. He gives up his career in medicine to become a writer.
Not that I plan to give up my career in medicine 🙃, but I was further inspired to write by surgeon bloggers such as Bongi and Keagirl.
I write to make sense of my experiences. Writing helps me cope with burnout, and it allows me to share the humor and value I find in seemingly mundane day-to-day encounters.
